Sania Mirza lost to top seed Patty Schnyder Cincinnati Open

Sania Mirza lost to top seed Patty Schnyder of Switzerland 7-6 (9-7), 7-5 in a rain-delayed quarter-final match of the $175,000 Cincinnati Open tennis. But Sania is still scheduled to the doubles semi-finals along with her Polish partner Marta Domachowska, there are seed third seeds in the tournament.

Sania Mirza , Hyderabadi girl, slips to 40 in Tennis Association (WTA) rankings after losing in the first round of the Wimbledon singles competition. Sania lost to Russian Elena Dementieva in the first round of Wimbledon. Sania is ranked 33rd in the doubles.
